Zespri International Limited was originally formed as a cooperative of kiwifruit producers in New Zealand and today sells in over 50 countries as the largest kiwifruit marketer in the world.
To fulfill consumer demand throughout the year, the organization also licenses growers in France, Italy, South Korea, Japan, and Australia, and has around 600 staff, half of these overseas.
The new Zespri building in Mount Maunganui was designed with a modern working environment in mind as they outgrew their previous location of 23 years. The new building boasts a range of sustainability features like smart exterior facades to control internal temperature, sensor lighting, solar panels, and rainwater collection technology.
New Era Technology was tasked with delivering an audiovisual solution in step with the overall project driver, to create a global headquarters for the Zespri brand. The organization needed a seamless integrated communication solution that would entice better discussions and clear interactions.
Due to the global nature of the company, Zespri had to integrate new audio-visual technology within its existing infrastructure. This seamless transition with the updated technology was to improve internal communications within the organizations, with shareholders and external customers.
The solution also needed to be user-friendly, intuitive, and provide dependability while mitigating delays during meetings.
Today, the rooms adapt to a flexible room configurations design that allows a standalone boardroom or three separate meeting rooms with a quality range of hardware for superior audio, video, and control solution throughout all meeting spaces.
The installation included network video conference cameras with USB endpoint for soft codec integration, network amplifiers, and a complete suite of installation loudspeakers. A combination of ceiling, surface, and pendant-mounted loudspeakers provided optimal audio coverage and pleasant aesthetics by eliminating clutter.
Innovation, collaboration, and attention to detail are integral to the Zespri family. The project had the same success requirements. Good audio for the internal staff was very important for engagement during corporate and other presentations.
All meeting rooms met and exceeded Zespri’s expectations. Employees were now able to easily use the equipment with little to no errors or delays.
